There are a lot of forums on this board. Just as a guest you can't see them. After you register a character you'll have access to them. Hit the register link, join us, then post in the Great Hall's Sorting Hat thread with your house and year of choice. Once you're tagged you'll be on your way!
Or perhaps you wish to wait until our next school year begins in two months! (late registeries are allowed) and want to roam the Diagon Alley area and Home Away from Hogwarts? Feel free to do that as well.
We do have a thread in the Ask the Staff about being an adult character. That, too, is an option. We need some more canon characters so come on in and rp!
